How Much Does a Kenya Safari Cost in 2026?
Daniel Otieno · 30 September 2026
Below is the price per person for sharing during the middle part of 2026. This includes all costs associated with park entrance fees, guide services, your accommodations while on safari and your food. The prices do not include any international airfare or visa requirements.
Budget group travel (shared microbus): For five days you can expect to pay around $475-$700. Group travel vehicles tend to be very full and offer limited flexibility. Since backpackers often request these types of tours, we infrequently offer them to our customers.
Private Mid-Range 4x4 (Nayora's Main Focus) - A three-day trip to the Mara is priced from $1,090 per person. A six-day trip to the Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli is priced from $1,870 per person. A seven-day trip to the Mara and Diani Beach is priced from $3,200 per person. A ten-day trip with two parks and a beach stay is priced from $4,750 per person. This represents the best value for money. Your group will have its own private vehicle, and your accommodation will be in authentic camps. Your meals will be prepared using fresh ingredients.
In addition to luxury and private conservation: Expect to spend $5,800 to $9,000+ per week. This level includes Angama-style camps, pre-scheduled flight options, and a hot air balloon flight.
Peak season of July-October and December 15 - January 1 will have an additional cost of 20-40%. Solo travelers will be charged a single supplement.
Always inquire about what's included. Park fees for the Mara are very high. Low prices on packages which do not include the park fees are not actual prices.
Nayora publishes USD and KES on every package and will itemize on request.
